Formnext Exclusive: First Showcase of Multi-Material Resin End-Use Parts with VLM Technology at Dyndrite’s Booth.

Seattle (WA) / Barcelona (Spain).- November, 2023 – BCN3D and Dyndrite proudly announce a significant advancement in their collaborative efforts showcasing at Formnext multi-material resin parts printed using VLM technology and Dyndrite software for the first time.

Find them at Hall 11.1 F51.

These end-use parts, utilizing high viscous materials, meet industry property standards and homologations, and will improve manufacturing efficiency through removing steps of the manufacturing process. Among the featured parts is an electrical connector, demonstrating flame retardancy and industry compliant mechanical properties such as impact resistance and elongation at break, paired with a sealing component made of high tensile strength silicone.

This joint presentation at Formnext highlights the capabilities of VLM and Dyndrite software in creating advanced, functional, and industry-compliant 3D printed end use parts.

BCN3D, a leader in additive manufacturing, introduced in 2022 Viscous Lithography Manufacturing (VLM)™, a revolutionary 3D printing process that leverages high viscosity resins to produce high-performance parts rapidly and efficiently. This patented lithography-based technology sets a new standard in the industry by processing resins 50 times more viscous than the current norm, enabling the creation of parts with unprecedented thermal and mechanical properties.

Unlike other resin technologies, VLM opens up possibilities with a wider range of ingredients and modifiers, allowing for innovative formulations. Over 500 companies have eagerly joined the VLM Technology Adoption Program (VLM TAP) as early adopters, testifying to the technology potential across various industries.

To complement VLM, BCN3D has partnered with Dyndrite, a leading provider of accelerated computation engines (ACE) and Application Development Kits (ADK) for industrial-focused digital manufacturing solutions. Dyndrite’s GPU-powered toolkit facilitates the development of next-generation solutions, supporting large datasets, providing high-resolution output, and streamlining automated print preparation. The core environment offers Python APIs for scriptable Build Recipes and seamless 3rd party app integration, with a plug-in mechanism enabling extensions to the base capabilities.

Through the VLM Technology Adoption Program, BCN3D has gained valuable insights into multi-material, multi-property, and water-soluble applications, with particular interest from industries such as manufacturing, automotive, 3D printing services, footwear, and dental. The collaboration with Dyndrite addresses specific software challenges faced in automated additive manufacturing production.

About Dyndrite
